Now more than ever, we need to be reminded of our beautiful earth and our world. And so for my second book review, I'm featuring "What A Wonderful World" a charming book that is based on the song recorded in 1967 by Louis Armstrong. The song, written by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss, is poignant in its sweetness and simplicity. It works as a children book as you and your children can sing along as you flip through the beautiful pages filled with bright, inspiring art. The positive message of hope and wonder is timeless and relevant for children (and even adults) of all ages.
I adore this book and highly recommend it, whether it is for your children, as a baby shower gift, or a birthday for a special child (or adult). As I said before, there are not that many books where both the art work and the writing are great (albeit through a classic song). This book has both and is a gem to be treasured.
For me as a designer, I'm inspired by the beautiful art in this book, particularly the brilliant color combinations. It is happiness and a feast for the eyes.
